THE ROOSTERS
Formed in Kitakyushu, Japan, the band debuted in 1980 with "Rosie. The original members are Shinya Oe (vocals and guitar), Hiroyuki Hanada (guitar), Tomio Inoue (bass), and Junji Ikehata (drums).
The band became a hot topic for its straight, gritty rock 'n' roll and Shinya Oe's radical lyrics and performances. Riding the "mentai rock" movement of the time, the band expanded into Tokyo and gained the support of rock fans nationwide, leaving behind numerous legends.
